Jesus Connection

Jesus Connection

The week we had a freak cool snap in the middle of July.  Morning temperatures dipped down into the 60’s in South Texas.  This is unheard of and people are loving it. I actually saw a guy at the store wearing a hoody as if he was freezing to death.  Strong storm winds of spring and fierce hurricanes usually bring down debris from trees as a natural pruning. I’ve driven through our neighborhood and there have been large trees to navigate around.

In my 56 years, I’ve also witnessed the winds of life come and they were relentless.  It’s necessary before than time to make sure I’m well connected because God has to power to sustain me regardless of the storm.  The storms will not disconnect me from Jesus – the true Vine! Our lives are best lived in a strong connection to Him. We live because He lives in us.

Early on in ministry, I decided to start signing letters and now emails with this simple phrase…” BECAUSE HE IS, I AM!”

How strong is your connection to your true source of life?

John 15:5-7  (NIV) 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
